Hi guys!

Im in desperate need of your help, and would really appreciate it.
For ages I have been trying to work this out with no luck at all.

What we have.

AD 2003 Domain.
5 Citrix/Terminal Servers.

All users have a home directory set up in their user account properties in
AD pointing to:

H drive mapped to:
\\SERVER\users\%username%

What we need:

We have users located all over Australia in different states.
Each state has a domain controller and when users log in, they get their
home drive pointing to that LOCAL server in that state.
This is fine when they are NOT logging on to Citrix servers.
The problem is when they DO log on to Citrix servers.

All our Citrix servers are located in Melbourne, so that when a user in WA
Perth who has their home directory mapped to a server in Perth, logs in to a
Citrix server, there is a huge delay in logon, because their home directory
is being mapped back to Perth.

What we need is a way to say, if you are logging on to a Citrix server, then
DO NOT under any circumstances map your home directory that you have
configured in your AD user account.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

What you can do is to remove the home directory definition from
their account properties in AD, and instead map the home drive in a
logon script.

Maybe you can use the same logon script for all logons by using the
%LOGONSERVER% variable, or you can use different logon scripts for
their normal domain logon and their Citrix logon, pointing to
different home drives.

It is is called Terminal Server Home Directory and Terminal Server
Profiles. One up and a user in AD and look for the tab, it might jump out
and bite you though.
